Building a More Resilient Nation by Strengthening Private-Public Partnerships

CNP President Dr. Stephen Flynn testified before the Ad Hoc Subcommittee on State, Local, and Private Sector Preparedness and Integration, chaired by Sen. Mark Pryor (AR), of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee in a hearing entitled: "The Next Big Disaster: Is the Private Sector Prepared?" Dr. Flynn highlighted the national security, economic and community elements of resilience and how federal, state, and local officials can better coordinate with the private sector in order to enhance preparedness efforts. Dr. Flynn testified alongside Dr. Jack Harrald from the Disasters Roundtable and Stephen Jordan from the Business Civic Leadership Center.
